Here's to another year! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Drinks/drinking-41.GIF

How many hours you up to?

318.3 now, I put more hours on it than I did in one year with the T190 and no premature service calls.

So we celebrated by giving the Kitty Cat a new cutting edge on the old combo bucket, my brother brought his torch along, my Dad bought some new tools for me to use and I bought the new cutting edge for $240 (CHEAP!!)
Unfortunately, this bucket has gotten beat up by the T190, it was so bent in the middle, I had forgotten why I put teeth on it in the first place, so I will take it to the welder and have him weld shims underneath next year.

The middle was fine, but the outer edges.......WOW!

I lost a lot of metal over the past 5 years, I don't remember the factory edge sticking out that far!

Who say I want that dent covered, chicks dig scars.

i thought you bought that machine in november

End of November I had just to give it a whirl, by the time the contract people were ready with the paper work and after the bells and whistles I wanted were ready, it was December 10 and the first payment rolled off a day later.

Any regrets you might ask?

Yes.

I should have bought the 257B2 and at least gotten back my ROC and High Flow, but it's a slug.

That Passat gets crazy kms on a tank, Mom and Dad took it to Prince George, 850 kms from our driveway, did a week of cruising around with the grand kiddies up there and they filled up before they left. They can average 1000 kms on a tank, the old '91 Jetta still gets over 800 kms on a tank, that little turbo diesel is still going strong with 480,000 kms on it, I love beating on it.

Top Gear (an absolutely amazing British car show) has now done two separate shows where the diesel cars they've tested have each gone over 600 miles on a tank... an Audi, I think it was, went 800.

And these tanks aren't huge -- it's not 800 miles on a 40 gallon tank -- so I was impressed.

we own 2 jetta tdis the older one used to get 55mpg highway before the whole "clean diesel" thing cam into being, now it's only getting around 47 so with the price of fuel it'd be better to have a gas car that got 35. but oh well, they'll run forever at least

They need to get that kind of gas mileage considering what the Europeans pay for fuel. I think I read somewhere that diesel was almost $12 a gallon over in England towards the end of the summer before oil prices crashed.

TDI's are sweet. Put a bigger turbo on them, new fuel mapping, some injectors and they still get wicked mileage AND they're fast. BMW is now producing a diesel 5 Series sedan, I think it's only available in the UK. Saw the test on Top Gear, they put it up against a gas 5 Series and it got stomped, but it gets wicked good mileage and 5 Series are big cars.

The bend in the bucket kept me awake last night, so after my old man and I did our morning rounds, he fired up the old Crapmatsu PC-60 and we beat the piss out of that damn bucket, now it's within 1/8 of an inch of being out of flat, but now the corner of the bucket is tweaked, but I suspect that is due to the loader being twisted.

It would have made some wicked video, but the camera froze up, it's -5 celsius right now and the wind chill is around -10, electronics and LCD's don't work so good in that.
The bucket is definitely going to be a throw-away deal, pull the cylinders and hydraulics off and the cutting edge and the rest goes in the scrap pile, but it will work good until I decide to buy bigger or stay with the current.

Or keep it for a concrete demo bucket. I ruined my first Case bucket moving a bunch of old concrete, put a big bow in the bucket. I bought a new one and kept the old one for concrete work, just used it last week to move 8 loads of concrete a contrator was demoing and brought to me. I used it to build up the drain ditch that runs the length of the track and to fill a couple of washouts from our last storm.

N-ah, I like to have 2 buckets only, 1 for general digging and demo work (combo) and the other for fine grading (utility with the tilt-tach) then I can keep 1 bucket on the trailer at all times, even my grapple bucket is a PITA to carry around, and my combo still does a better job of picking up concrete.

Ron, what do you consider a utility bucket? just a plain bucket with no teeth? I've always called it a general purpose bucket..

Yup, a general purpose here is the combo, it has general purposes.
A combo bucket is a swiss army knife on skid steers, anyone who doesn't use one or own one is a pussy.

Oh, a general purpose here is just a plain cheap bucket with no teeth like what comes on a skid when you buy it. A utility bucket here is a 4n1..

I don't know about the whole play date thing, my Kitty Cat has such a big ego, I'm sure it will try to mount your TH215 and dry hump it until the pins squeak.
