For a sit down Z, Wright has a 61" weighing in at 985 lbs. dry weight. Add in oil (not much there), fuel (15 gallons) and your weight, you might shave off three hundred pounds at most. Otherwise, for that deck size, you'll be into the large frame units at 835 lbs. with about 6.5 gallons of fuel, or the ZK. Don't have the weight on the ZK - check Wright's website - but I can't imagine it would be much less than the Z. Unless you want to step down on that deck size, you're not going to save a lot of weight any way you go.

You might also factor in the width of the tires on a machine.

Thanks for the reply guys I had a dixie chopper a couple years ago it was lite but I hated the way the mower handle on hills and the tires riped the turf to much.

Wright hasn't posted the tech-specs on the ZK yet on the web, but one lawnsite member (DCE) reported the weight at around 1200 lbs (http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=227956.

OUCH! That's a lot of weight! Wouldn't think this would be a good choice for residential lawn unless it had ballon tires.

It's awful heavy for the 52" version's 23x9.5-12 tires, but with the 61" versions 24x12-12, it is probably okay. The weight compares favorably to most full-size, high horsepower, 60" Z's. Scags Turf Tigers are really heavy (I think over 1400 lbs) and really long.
