View Full Version : fuel problem on lazer
One of our older lazers got run out of gas. This one has two tanks that you switch between. They brought it back and told me the one side went out and there was fuel in the purge line behind the seat but now there is no fuel getting up into that line. I checked and there is fuel getting to the filter but I haven't gone past that point. If I'm not getting any fuel up there is there anyway to prime the system? Thanks Tom

The fuel filter is before your fuel pump, correct? If so, you may just have to pull the line off the flow end of the filter. If that don't work, try it at the inlet of the fuel pump. Sounds like you may have an air pocket in the system. On the gas units, its not a really big issue.
yeah at one point while purging it towards the end of my efforts i got a little air to come out...so keep trying to turn it over and work the air out???

You can try blowing into the fuel tank. Take the filter off to reduce resistance. Cup your hands over the inlet and blow. BE CAREFUL

take fuel line off at carb and turn it over and see if fuel is coming out of line. if not these vacuum operated pumps are weak and i have used a shopvac before to prime the fuel line. once you get fuel flowing out of line hook back up to carb and crank her over.

well did you get it running?
yeah i blew through the line and got what i thought was air to come through and hit it with some starter fluid and after about 10 attempts she fired up....theyve run machines out of fuel before but its never been this hard to get one running again
