It just started over to your east maybe 20 minutes ago, sops. This storm's moving slow. We're all gonna get dumped on pretty hard. It's good for you guys that still do professional snow clearing if you're doing it by the storm. For those guys that bid by the year it sucks.

By the way 1" of ice here first then 3" of snow.Makes for real fun ice skating, pushing the white stuff around:hammerhead::usflag:

Yep. We're gonna get dumped all over. The cat (meow cat not CAT) is looking out the window at the snow like he wants to kill it all. And the CAT is looking out at the snow like it's wanting to go push it all over the place.

I hate the snow I have been stuck at home for 3 days now I can't go out to the grocery store or anywhere. The damn highways dept didn't plow the roads now the snow has turned to packed ice and for me I need chains or I'am not going anywhere. I took the balast of my truck I didn't think I was going to need it. Let me tell you I'am pizzed off I should have ordered a set of snow chains.

My truck is a 2wd with a locker it doesn't do well in the snow at all because the ass end wants to slide in the ditch even feathering the throttle climbing the hills the tires break free you have 4 tires creating ice. Locker is good for the offroad work I do but no good in snow that turns to instant ice.

Ever heard a 6.0 scream to 4 grand trying to climb a hill. Even with bandag snow tires they don't have enough traction.

If there was a medical emergency the fire trucks or ambulance couldn't get to my neighbourhood without chaining up.

To get the snow off the road the highways dept will have to steel blade it with a grader or sand the crap out of it for traction.

I hear you. I can't even get my truck uncoupled from my trailer to get into town, damn jaws are frozen solid and throwing water on it makes it worse, and there's too much grease on the jaws to use a torch.

I think the weather this year is going to be the death of me.Give me a break!!!!!:dizzy:

Who was telling us(Okay Ron!) it was going to be a nice warmer and wetter then normal winter.Your half right wetter!!!!!!! So much for the farmers book:confused:

GR your not the only one mad:hammerhead: went to go eat ,so started the pickup and let run for 45 mintues to thaw the ice off.Had to chisel the ice off before could even get in.

In the process of removing the ice off the windshield which wasn't quite melted off, after 45 mintue of preheating.I went to knock some ice off the wiper blade with a cheap plastic ice scraper, which slipped off and hit the winshield ,which inturn cracked it.Now have two cracks going over half way across the width of the windshield.

Where's global warming when you need it.Yea ! Al get your head out of you "DOOR' :walking:

I went and put my ballast back on the truck but I had to drive a hour round trip to go get it. The rear tires have some traction now but still have to be carefull about trying to steer.

Bigger plows???

You don't run wings on those plows? We ran a Snowwolf plow but I think something like a 8611 Blizzard on your big skids and 810's for the smaller ones would be sweet. I also had to slip in some PowerTan for you.:dancing: You would like the Bobcat peeking out there that was for doing pushbacks over the edge.:waving:

My father plowed with a 1999 f-150 for about 4 years until he sold the truck to one of my guys. That guy still plows with us every year same truck same plow :weightlifter:

Its great! Nothing stops it. Listen, people plow with little jeeps and rangers. A 1/2 ton has no problem with it hhaa. I also plow with a dodge 250 and my 1500 does better. The boss is fast and smooth and the ride in the truck is much better than the 250. Its been great. If i were doing parking lots i wouldnt use a 1500 though. But for residentials its perfect.

Its great! Its fast, smooth, tough. Its been great. I put a back drag blade on it and that helped alot for pulling away from the garages. It back drags better than my 8' heavier blades ive had in the past. Very happy with the boss.

The truck is great. The only thing that has happened is the ash tray lid hinge broke. Other than that its perfect. the truck is fast, tough, good mileage for a pickup. Cheap parts? Havent had to repair anything. To what are you reffering? I have had 3 pickups in 20 years. All dodges. 2 i currently own and still use. Is it a brand loyalty thing? nope. Its a longevity thing. With that track record would there have been a reason to buy something else?
