Here is the scoop, we are a somewhat small company offering a full line of landscaping/maintance services. I am interested in obtaining a applicators permit so we can leagelly apply fertlizer.

I guess my questions are...

1) Who do I need to contact about classes in North East Ohio.

2) I would like to start off small doing the 20 or 30 accounts that we sub to another company, what sort of equipment do you reccomend?

3) Also open to either granular or liquid.

Thanks for any input.

You could start with a push spreader, backpack sprayer and a handheld blower as long as you jobs are small and have had service before. I'd hate to BP spray an acre of dandies. Otherwise, you'll want a skid sprayer to do the job quick and right the first time.

mngrassguy hit the nail on the head. I take care of 250+ lawns from 500 to 90,000 sq ft with a Lesco commercial push spreader, a couple Solo backpacks, Stihl BG85 blower, and a 200 gal skid sprayer. You don't need anything else except your license, and your state's agriculture dept can give you all the info you need.

Don't forget financial responsibility requirements aka GL coverage.
Get quotes for pest application BEFORE you do anything else. I am finding this process to be a buzzsaw.
