How much to charge

Hi I am just starting out I use my daily driver pickup a small trailer commercial walk behind commercial shindaiwa trimmer blower etc. I am only 17 and am having trouble pricing jobs. Most kids my age are getting 8 buck an hour working minimum wage and i'm bringing in about 20.

With my equipment and uninsured, non licensed business (it will be soon next season) what should I be charging? For example this summer I did a good size lawn with my 21" trimmed and walks blown I charged 40 a cut. Is that ridiculously low?

Thanks for the advice, and what is your guys opinion on trimmer with changeable heads. I would like an edger and possibly a hedge trimmer any good commercial units or just home owner junk??

I also do a 17 acre cemetary so I dont do just chicken **** jobs. I get 40 an hour running their equipment but now I want to expand my own business. I did that one reidential job for a family friend with no intention of going in to buisness just making an extra buck with what I already had.

Hey I am 13 and have had some trouble pricing jobs also. I am in the same category as you and we cant charge what professional lco's do, but we certainly cant lowball. Try to gross at least $40 an hour total, and have a minimum of $20 per cut. Get a ZTR for one, I recommend an Exmark or a John Deere. All of your handhelds need to be commercial grade, preferrably Stihl models. How long did this big property take you totally?

it takes me and my buddy on crap riding lawn mowers and our two younger friends on weed whackers about a 8-10 hour day.
