hey all,
i have this deck and have adapted it to use with my skidsteer. it works really well for cutting rough grass and weeds. all i have is the deck and i don't know what kind of mower it was used on. does anyone else recognize it ? maybe help with a brand or model number so i can try to find a spare belt, bearings, blades, etc.
i think it's an older model scag 61 inch. someone before me made a plate for the hydraulic motor and its bolted to 2 angle brackets that were already there. the belt cover looks to be in original condition, no mods done to it. i've included pictures. any help or comments appreciated.
thanks,
bubba

I respect Rob's opinion always..He's the man..But on this I just saw that on a original e-bay ad..complete set-up on a mower. even has the pump cut out and the 'puppy paw' decal..It is a front-mount 'Bob-Cat' rider mower (zero turn). the mower looks simular to the Toro's with the amall swivel rear wheals. Here is the the e-bay ad ( 290283011585) check it out. I may be wrong..but will be first time ever..ya right! Geno

Just a streak of 'luck' on that one..I saw Bubbas ad..then 10 minutes later I was scanning e-bay for a hydro Zero-turn for a 'fixer' machine..and bang- there is a machine with the deck I had just seen!..pure luck. I have had a couple Scag STHM's..and have a SW36 now..I too thought that was a Scag deck. I thought BC's were green? I guess I learned something tonight. Looks Bubba like you got a great weed/brush cutter. Geno

Don't insert that foot so fast Rob, Dane Scag is the founder of both BobCat and Scag mowers. That is an early BobCat mower deck and was a good find for the pic reference by Mowisme. So in a way you are both right

Whatever it turns out to be, it's a really sweet tool for a skidsteer. Anybody know if there would be any advantages to doing that with a regular Z. I know it would cost more but, what kind of possible advantage would there be if any? Tony

looks like its a bobcat deck for sure. i've included a picture and the link to the one mowisme found on ebay.

does anybody know what model this thing is ? from what i've found, the bearings and blades aren't gonna be a problem to get. i'm not having much luck finding a belt tho. the correct model number would make me more comfortable ordering a belt online.
any help greatly appreciated.
thanks,

i found the info i needed at the bobcat mower website. i had been there several times and never had a model number to search for so i gave up. went back yesterday and did a search for "contains" " 61" and bam, a list of 61 inch mowers comes up. looked near the bottom and found fm61. that was it. gives all the correct part numbers and has a great picture of the deck and parts. thanks guys for all your help.
