what's the scoop on Doosan skidsteer?

Anybody know anything about Doosan skidsteers? Can pick up a Doosan 450 here in Ohio brand new for around 15 grand with the same compacity as a bobcat s220. Someone told me Doosan owns Bobcat, is that true?

Yep, Doosan Infracore (<sp?) owns Bobcat.. They've had some cheap Doosan skids on Iron Planet for cheap lately, no clue what model, I havent paid any attention..

No clue, But it couldnt hurt to call and ask. They might be able to get parts, if they dont know or cant work on a Doosan skid..

It appears with all the Doosan skid steers hitting the auction yards ithey are making way for the BC line at Doosan dealers. I doubt the BC mechanics are savvy on the Doosan machines, but I am sure they would work on them. They are selling on IP for 13-15K last week the first bid got the machine. No one appears willing to buy them. That is not to say they are a bad machine only that they certainly will be discontinued, but if you buy with the plan of running the wheels off it and then take whatever someome will give you for it, it may be a good deal if you like running it. I have never seen one actually in the field. I have never had a chance to ask anyone what there thoughts were.

Ksss I think your right about that. It only makes sense to deal in one brand during this economic downturn if you own both.
