What do you guys use for spraying landscape beds with pre-emergent. I have a jd-9 gun but want to get a Gunjet with maybe a 11015 or 11020 teejet nozzle? My old boss had a nozzle that sprayed at your feet and 15 feet out. Don't know the number on that though. Any ideas?

I use a 23L-7676-24 Gunjet with a 11004 nozzle. A 11020 tip will put down the equivalent of 5 gallons per 1000 sq ft unless you are running at 10 miles per hour The 1104 at 40PSI at the gun will apply 1 gallon per 1000 at a comfortable pace. This is not an athletic contest. A fast, but sloppy application will cost you more in time and money in some way.

Did that nozzle throw evenly left to right or did it just project a lopsided fan off to one side. In either case, I would not trust using those for selective herbicides on valuable landscaping. For IVM work or spraying pastures OK. The other reason why I use the 23L gun is that makes it easy to direct the spray under and not over the top of plants.

You can still use your JD9-C gun if you want all you have to do is purchase a tip adapter for about $15.00 then a wand for about the same then any Teejet (Spraying Systems) nozzle will attach.

I actually have that coming from Rittenhouse plus alot of different tips. Glad I don't have to buy a new gun! I found the nozzle I was describing in my first post. It's called an OC (off center) nozzle. I love Rittenhouse, wish I could find a store like that closer to me and not in Canada.

I use the Lesco/Chemlawn gun with the BLUE Nozzle.

100 mesh screen in the filter when I use this nozzle too.
