I've never done snow removal. I'm sure it gets boring, but it looks kind of fun. The first lot you did, the after shot looked really good. I would probably try to add snow removal, but everyone and their dog seems to have a plow here, and winter is the only time I can travel.

Plowing is never a dull moment but is the most stressful thing to do .... highest profit margin by far...

Do you have to plow with the wipers on while plowing. I'd be at the dealers Monday morning buying a snow deflector.

Nice job. I'd love to plow lots like yours. For some reason I only get calls from homeowners with the worst driveways.

Really? Hmmm. I haven't looked into it for a while, but when I did, about 9-10 yrs ago, it wasn't a great amount. I mean, you may make good money for each push, but that will only last a day, then nothing for a week or 2. I had one guy who had just retired from it tell me that the last yr he did it, he only had four pushes, barely cleared enough money to pay for a new transmission. Maybe he wasn't charging right. He wasn't super successful as an LCO either.

It does suprisingly well plowing. I put about 500# of ballast weight behind the rear axle, put snow tires and front timbrens on the truck.

I plow 4 commercial lots.

3 of them I am a Sub for...I only have 1 account of my own....that will all change next season as I now have two plow trucks and a friend with one as well.

Nice 450. what plow is on the 150?

There are good and bad seasons...you still want to be able to keep your company busy through the fall and winter with other work other than plowing.

If you are able to take the winter off and travel...hell, more power to ya...I wish I could do that.

Depends on what kind of snow it is....if its real wet..the wipers go on every once in a while. If it's dry as hell, or I'm going fast they stay on.

Deflectors only can do so much...I still need one, it helps.

I couldn't imagine plowing drives all night...I would never pass on the work though. If it's there I would stick another truck on em. I just can't handle the trigger on resis...out here resis want it done a little too high..

bladescapes, where did u get the add on wings for your plow? i just got a plow truck, its a 7 1/2ft fisher, with a deflector, and i would like to get wings for it.

plowing is great money, when it snows. i have a bunch of contracts for just sidewalks in the downtown, and business parks. Every little bit of snow we get i have to clear it, from a dusting on up. I just got into larger scale stuff, its been fun so far.

I bet you could have gotten wings from that same dealer.

They are called Buyers Pro-Wings. There about $180.00, and take about 45 min to install. make sure you install the rubber wing pieces over the metal cutting edge so the won't flap back when pushing.

I love the snow....just wish it would snow more often.

Nice vid.

I hate plowing snow. Just one of those things that you need top do to have all service available to your customers. I had people call me that had other lco's doing their summer work but didn't plow snow. I only plow for customers that take summer and winter. It's to much a pain in the azz.

I currently do over 20 accounts with snow....some are just residentials with snow blow driveways but still makes for a cold long day/night.

i have a custom 6.5 meyers. it is half the weight of a 7.5 and in the end is only 2 passes more. i had to do some burning and welding on the a frame of the plow but i can guarantee you it wont break. also i have a meyes salt spreader also.
