Where to buy: Ignition Coil for 6HP B&S Quantum engine - Have a problem

Where can I get one of these? I need it for my trimmer/mower. The machine is less than two years old, but has a distinct pop in the exhaust that I hear when the RPM's surge, then it cuts out after warming up and dies. It will run as long as there is no load. It has done this from day 1 when I bought it new. When I put any load on it dies. I have replaced the spark plug twice, but it still does it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, sounds like a coil problem. Thought briggs had a lifetime warranty on these :confused:.

Just check for spark when the engine is hot to make sure it is the problem. The dying on load sounds more fuel related.

As mentioned, check for spark immediately after it dies-

Sounds more fuel related to me too-
When It dies, loosen the gas cap for a few seconds and then see if it starts.
Sounds like the vent might be clogged-
