Haha it's a little bit of a change stepping up from a 4 stroke KLX110, but I think I'm going to start liking them too. The sound is almost the best part haha!!

o ya gotta love that obnoxious sound!! I also love 2 strokes cause they are easy to work on and real cheap to buy and rebuild! Ya my cousin has a klx 110. Those bikes don't have a ton of power, they make a great pit bike though!!

Definately! They're great starter bikes and low maintenance. I thought someone once told me 2 strokes were more expensive to fix? I dont do my own repairs on my bike. We take it to Souhegan Valley Motorsports(where we bought it), so I dont know much about bikes other than how to ride them...

Well four stroke race bikes are very expensive to fix compared to 2 stroke ones. I can rebuild my whole engine for about $600-700. On a four stroke, you don'rt have to rebuild them a lot, but when you do, I think it costs in to the thousands to do a full engine rebuild. They are a lot more complex and have a lot more moving parts. I'm no expert by any means, that is just things I have heard from a lot of other people. But generally two strokes are mucheasier and cheaper to fix and maintain than four stroke race bikes.

Probably just ride...my buddy and his dad used to race and wanted me to do it with them, but he's in iraq now and his dad got into a really bad car accident. So I don't think that's going to happen.

If next year turns out OK I'll have to get me and my brother bikes and ride. There's a place about 15min away full of trails.....

You hit the nail on the head. The generation four stroke race bikes are HIGH maintnence I'm on my third one now and they are a money pit! I have a 2007 RM-Z 450 and so far it has cost me almost $3,000 in motor work and I have no more then 35 hours on it! I also have an RM250 which I ride so I don't have to spend so much on motor work on the four stroke...anyways that KDX is a sweet trail bike good luck with it and be careful I'm only 19 been riding for about 7-8 years and broke my fair share of bones.

Yup glad I didn't buy a four stroke! lol Ya no matter what bike you ride, everyone that owns a dirtbike should be very careful. My buddy broke his back this summer and had a very slow recovery. He nearly paralyzed himself. It was a good reminder to all us to be careful though!

That's awesome, except for your buddy being in Iraq and his Dad's back, but it's awesome that you're gonna get into riding. Lots of fun. AMEN to being safe! I've never broken a bone in my life, and I hope to keep it that way.
