We didn't get to crazy this year for gift exchanging but did get something I have wanted for a while. I have some scale models and get one every once and a while. I am looking for a Tak model, haven't seen one yet so don't know if there is such thing.
So what did some of you get?

Chris, you should have a Volvo like yours made up with Guin (<sp?) Excavating decals on it, that would be awesome. :cool2:
Why is the cab on the right side of the boom (if you sitting on the machine) instead of on the left, on the last couple of excavators you posted?

If you look at the side of the cab on the green and white demolition excavator, you will see my name on the side of it.
I don't know why the cab is on that side, all the older machines were like that.

Well, I've been married longer than some members are old here on Lawnsite so my "One Call" will certainly be business related, Junior.
One Call refers to the call all excavating contractors digging into the ground are supposed to make before breaking ground. Gives the utility companies time to locate/mark the underground stuff we should really avoid. One-Call is a clearing house for all companies that have assets in the ground.
Other descriptions of "one call" here may have a different meaning....

Sal actually painted that liebheer 954 demo excavator in beelen colors for me, pretty good job for a 14 yr old.
I get them from many different people, most from the USA, some from Germany, China, UK, Ect.
Junior:
I've thought about getting more bobact mini's, they are in 1:25 scale and really just don't fit in with the normal 1:50 scale models I. For you I'm saying they are just too big for the size they should be.

Then I took a picture of my t-shirt line, SkidJockey. What do you think?

Chris, do all those people you get models from do custom work for you or is there a specific company that will customize a machine for you? I liked the Cat in the first page with a thumb. I would like to have ERTL or whatever they're name is to do some other machines. Their case backhoes are incredible.

I've got s few model builders that I'm friends with, they live all over the US, but I've met them all on DHS Diecast. It's very hard to find someone who is going to sell those attachment. If you do find one your going to pay a good price for it, one of those models with a thumb and other stuff can be over $300.00.

what do you mean?...we demo'd a 150..this was before the 140 was released yet...the 150 was just too big...the guys running it would need a CDL to haul it on our 12K trailer and the laborers that run it don't have a CDL...if we need a machine like that we will bring in our Cat 943 loader...the 130 can be a little small sometimes but it rarely gets used, especially now...so it wasn't really necessary to get the 150

50 times smaller than the real thing. So say you have a track hoe, a 1:50 scale model would be 50 times smaller.

I got it at a car show swap meet. We go every year, they have car stuff, tools, some diecasts and a whole lot of junk. You could probably find one on the interweb some where.
