Hypro vs udor pump quality?

But Rittenhouse sells the Hypro D30 8.5 GPM 550 psi Diaphragm Pump, with all hoses and connections for $1600.

I was wondering about quality of the pumps etc.


Also, if I did order the kit, could I make my own skid out of wood?

Sure--make your own skid--or use a skid--and load with Hilo. Wood has the advantage of no rust. In some cases it makes sense to bolt the front of the reel to the side rail of the bed and you just need a little support for the back end. Angle iron from reel to fender well.

In my case I used a large flat bottom tank--so there was no need to have a cradle for a round tank. The whole thing removes in three pieces in winter. 1)reel, 2)pump and motor, 3) tank. All weigh less than a hundred pounds.

I guess your hoses all go in the top of the tank like Gregson clark tank?


That would be a good set up for me as well.
