Very Nice pics I like the color of the Chevy the truck and Trailer are your home away from home:laugh: Very nice does the Chevy have any probs going up hills or anything with the JD or the Trailer on the back since it's a 1500 just curious

The JD is mine. Got it at a farm auction about a year ago with the 18 foot equipment trailer. The Chevy pulls everything pretty good. I usually drive pretty slow, so it serves me well enough for my style of driving. It has a leveling kit on front and add a leafs on the back to keep it from squatting so much. Also has true dual straight pipes and BFG 285's. Thanks. I now have a 2006 Chevy 2500hd 6.0, but haven't uploaded the pics yet. To be honest, I think the 1500 pulled almost as good as the 2500hd.

So are you selling to Ford and giving the 1500 to your brother? How long have you guys been doing this?
That 2500 is nice! I like the lettering, in a good spot so most people can see it but not over the top and the truck is still "personal".

Heres some random stuff, and yes I know, the mini excavator was a lot for the f-150, but we only pulled it about 4 miles from the rental place to the job where we were doing a seawall on Lake St. Louis. Also, pics of the western 7.5 ultramount on the 1500, and the new 2500hd

The F-150 still runs fine and has the same amount of miles that the 1500 did (135k), plus it is paid for. We rarely use the F-150, it is mostly used when we get behind and need a truck for a landscaping job and one for mowing. Im 20 years old, we've been doing this for about 5 years now. We've actually downsized the mowing this past year, and we now do more landcaping, because I go to college 2.5 hours away, and can only take on so much work when I am gone, so we can do the landscaping during the summer when I am here and more than make up for downsizing the lawn care operation.
Check out this video of the true dual straight pipes on the 2500, there is also a second one on there too if you look to the right on the youtube page.

Hey man you have a nice setup. I like the new 2500HD a lot. How do you like that Dixie Chopper 60"? I have never had the chance to run a Dixie. The biggest mower I have ever run is a Grasshopper 61". I am going to get a John Deere 42" ZTR as my main mower. I am just starting in this business, only 13 years old.

What kind of suspension do you have on your 1500 and is the windsheild tinted. Nice setup

The Dixie cuts great. The only thing I don't like about it is that the back tires are a a little too aggressive and tear out grass really easy if you're not careful. The Silverado 1500 has new torsion keys up front which lifted it about 2.5 inches, and add a leafs on the rear. And yes, the windsheild is tinted 20%...illegal, but it stays cool inside lol.

Everything looks good. You're doing great for being so young, keep up the great work.
Gotta love the Chevy trucks.
Your slogan on the enclosed trailer 'Where service is always in season', is the same, word for word, as a guy near me. He has it on his business cards.

I had just the opposite from your mini-ex situation today, hauled a bobcat 418, open station ex 3.5ft wide, tracks suck in to 28", on my 22' gooseneck behind my 96 250 diesel, you wanna talk about funny lookin.... Looks like your doing good for your age, I'll be 21 in April and have been doing this about as long as you have, and I love almost every minute of it. There are PITA customers and bad days, but at the end of the season I look back and love what I do and can't wait to get out again in the spring, well after plowing a bunch of snow of course. Keep it up!

What is usally the cost on cranking the torsion bars and what did you do and has it ever done or maid any problems with steering or front end. Thanks

You *can* just crank up the bars, and that's FREE, but you need to get the front end aligned when you do. There's much controversy as to what kind of, if any, damage it can cause...
I think what the OP was getting at is that he replaced the torsion keys, which is the same option I'm looking at for my truck. The new forged keys run around $275 for the set... Yeah, kinda high for a couple wedges of steel.
Nice thing about replacing the keys, opposed to just cranking them up, you get to maintain some ride comfort. Cranking them gives you a dang stiff ride in the front. (been there, done that).

In response to the question earlier, just simply cranking the bars up is free, and then the front end alignment will cost you anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks. The stock torsion keys will most likely go far enough to level the truck. I installed new re-indexed keys because i put add a leafs on the rear, and the stock keys would bring the front up far enough. The truck rides a little rougher, but in my opinion, it rode more like a "real truck" with the bars cranked. I never had any problems with the front end components, even with the plow.

You have a nice setup. Them 2500 Chevys are starting to grow on me, your 1500 looks good too. The Ford is a beast too, don't look like its sagging much at all with the mini x. I have pulled 3.5 tons of top soild with my F-150 before :) Good job and keep it up! Looking foward to more pics.

Nice straight pipes. Your customers must love you when you show up to plow at 4 in the morning.

Yea, it is pretty loud, especially with a load behind it. The good thing is, I plow large commercial accounts in industrials parks, so there is really no one to wake up. I had the same exhaust on my 1500 and it wasn't too bad, but the 2500hd is soooooo much louder.
