Can anyone recommend a good 36" trencher with a stand on plate? Looking for a fairly substantial trencher because we work with it daily subbing plumber work and installing irrigation.

Try putting it in the heavy equipment or irrigation forums.

Definetly post it in another forum. Ever thought of like a ride on trencher? I dont know any model numbers, but you say substantial trencher, that will be a more powerful and better machine than say a Dingo with a little trencher attachment...

I was looking at the 118 by Boxer. I think thats the direction I will go. The Zahn is all flash and the Dingo dealer in my area is horrible.

I've ran both Toro and Boxer, I liked boxer better all around..

try the dingo 425 or the 420 aside from stand on you may want to consider tracks if you havent already. if you go with the trx by toro it is a designated trencher so with this in mind you may want to evaluate the circumstance of what percentage of your business is installs with all the implements for these mini skid steers it could be beneficial. hope this helps and best of luck to you.

I will hopefully have a ditch witch in a few years when I get my company more established.
