Any thoughts or comments? I could not resist driving 20mph behind this guy to get a couple of pics.

Everyone knows there are some scrubs around but this will be hard to beat. 3 pallets of bahia in the back of a 3/4 ton. Unbelievable!!!!!

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Here is another one, and is it any wonder why the price of sod installs has fallen through the floor.

Luckily, there are still plenty of customers who dont mind having it done at a premium...

Holy crap! One pallet of centipede weighs what? 1,000 pounds? Our sod distributor wont load but one in the bed of a 2500...

Wow, and that last one is a 1500. Somebody needs there license taken...

LOL only in Florida, you guys would be surprised at how common a sight like this is. The only time they really would get caught is if DOT just so happens to see it.

Our guy refuses to put more than 1 on our 2500, course you couldnt fit 2 on it anyways cause its a shortbed, and the truck wouldnt handle it. But still thats alot of weight just sitting in the bed..

Well, if it can I dont know where you would put a second one in a short bed. Our truck is the exact same as your except a gasser crew cab..

yeah you cant fit two pallets of sod...but with out the pallet I can fit 1 1/2..but salt is bagged so I take 37 80lb bags in my bed...but if i know im spreading it right away i will load up to 60 80lb bags...:nono::laugh:..now that I wont keep in the truck for a long time.

I pulled a 40,000 lb generator/electric pump with my half ton. It wasn't on the road just at my Nursery. I made it real far until I had to be a jackass and spin the tires in the sand. Needless to say I got stuck, I'll try and find some pics.

Shoot I put 1 pallet of Fescue (60 yds) in the back of my F-250 PSD and that was enough for me.

Probably could have carried more, but I couldn't have stopped safely with any more in the bed.

That guy with three needs a BIG ticket.

Oh come on guys, He could probably get another pallet on their. Heck, he still has a trailer hitch right? A least another three pallets right there.

Just kidding, this guy really needs to be off the road so he dosent kill someone.

that is funny, but what i find so wrong w/ the whole thing is the fact that it was bahaia sod! i hate that crap w/ a passion and people are paying to sod their lawns w/ it?!?!? IMO thats the biggest problem w/ the entire picture...i didnt know you could even buy that crap in sod form.

on a serious note, what do ya'll think of putting 2 pallets in the bed of a 1 ton long bed truck? (HD 3500 w/ E range tires)

Ah shoot, I could get those 3 pallets on the roof rack of my Trailblazer  On a serious note that is so dangerous. That rachett strap is rated for 1,000 lbs max. Heavens forbid if they needed to stop suddenly.:dizzy:

You must use rope as a strap if its only rated for 1,000lbs

Cause the ones I use..(2") are rated for 10,000lbs and my (3") are rated for 15,000lbs.

Southernlandscape343

Then again its not a very clear shot of the strap. Either way having the straps anchored to the wheel wells was pretty stupid.

Haha those pics are hilarious. Who needs a trailer when you can just pile stuff up 20 feet high in the back of your pickup. Scares me to think what would happen if that one guy had to make a quick turn.

I think it would do it Dura, no worries, if anything put two on there, and your truck is sagging to much for your liking take the second one back off...

These guys that overload their trucks like that are great job security for us in the fire services...if they get in a wreck, we get called to the scene and I get to make some money.

It is so common to see pickups full of stuff, like those lawn service guys without a trailer. I wish I had a picture of a F250 I saw with a Bobcat 463 in the bed along with a push mower, forks and string trimmers. What really takes the cake are the scrap metal guys. I have seen them on the palmetto expressway with plywood and 2 x 4 sides carrying a full load of junk with the truck bed as far down as it will go.

Ill bet a lot of the cab overs you see are in a similar condition....they just don't show being overloaded like a p/u does. I had 12 tons of road base accidentally loaded into my w-3500. Other than blown axle seals leaking every where...it wasnt easy for a layman to see.

I don't think I have ever seen a DTO officer any place but on the highway...... stuff like this makes me wish I saw them off the highway from time to time.....

Id be tempted to call up the DOT and give them a friendly tip and hang around to see the result.......... though I doubt they would ever show....

You can only get away with that for so long before something breaks of your wreck... there is a guy around here that hauls tires in his 1500 and it looks like the frame is bent (down) between the cab and the bed.....

How about this one. I looked at the hitch. It was a gooseneck head attached to two extensions that came out from the frame on an F-250

it looks like they centered the boat on the trailer properly cause the truck isn't hardly squatting at all. plus they have the proper signs to be legal. looks like they are ok
