welp I've had my Rainmaster Pro UA remote for about 1.5 years and it is crapping out...A real shame too for such an expensive item.
The receiver doesn't seem to be getting the signal (not beeping) when I hit the remote.
The remote beeps like its transmitting, but receiver won't beep when pressing any keys. I've replaced the battery and cables and also tried hitting the reset button. The main box gives me the *ok* beep when plugged in so its not detecting a problem.
anyone run into this problem?
I'll be contacting Rainmaster on Monday. Anyone delt with sending products in to be repaired with them before? I'd like to know how long my little baby might be in the shop....I feel naked without it.
Also anyone know if Rainmaster might have another version with a digital display (showing station numbers) in the works?

Here is my RM troubleshooting flow chart
If transmitter seems to be doing everything right. Single beep etc then I'd make 100% certain the receiver has power. Get a voltmeter and check the zone wires. Also try multiple timers with pigtails installed. Just make 100% certain it isn't the timer you were on.
RM does not have any remote except the one you are using. I kept 2 remotes and 3 after Henry went on his own to always have a back up. I can't recall once when my problem was the receiver. Always the transmitter. Try the button next to the battery and make sure the battery is the right one and touching okay. I realize you've done that but well worth rementioning. This time of year RM is fast with service. In summer it can take 6 weeks to get service. I've paid 200-300 for repairs.
Good luck...They take a lot of abuse so I figure 300/year in upkeep costs on a remote.

Yeah, I tried 5 different control boxes first and and two different cables.
I Replaced the battery with a new one and also tried wiring it in on my system at home with my pigtail harness with alligator clips.
the remote beeps like it is sending a signal with that clicking noise it always had (sounds like a relay clicking on/off).
...but the receiver doesn't make any confirmation noise like should when I press a key on the remote, BUT it does beep once when plugged in.
Just dropped in a new 6 volt lithium energizer photo (223) battery. Worked previously with same type battery for about 3 months.
I'll probably be picking up a new one for backup after sending this one in.
I heard rumors that Rainmaster MIGHT have a new remote in the works so I was hoping to score one of those if it is indeed true. They might be making one with a digital readout showing the current station your on plus upping the number of stations.
Funny how reliant I've become using this remote that the thought of NOT having one...well is just unthinkable.

If the unit beeps upon connecting to clock then it has 24V.
Sounds like a reciever issue to me. I had 2 this year goof up and do that sometimes. Sent them back to Rainmaster and they came back a month or so later in like new condition.

yeah I'm thinking it is the receiver myself.
anyway to check to see if the transmitter (remote) is actually sending a signal?

Would be nice if the description said if it was a working unit. Or at least not DOA.

I wouldn't buy that. Not sure if it can be retooled for your existing transmitter. Each has it's own frequency. Maybe somebody can send the guy a pm and ask him where the rest of the unit is. Yes I'm being lazy.

3rd time that receiver has been listed on ebay.
Can the access code feature be used to make it usable with any remote transmitter?

I used the "ask seller" feature and asked him that AND if the unit had ever been tested.
If you put his receiver with the guy who has 2 transmitters for sale....

Unless you got Rain Master clocks, need the UA.
