Putting a Bobcat bucket on a Deere:confused:
Finaly got the 4-1 bucket today.Dealer said Bobcat was moving where they build attachment (maybe just bucket). They was or are shutdown, moving? Think there was talk of that earlier(shutting down) on here.
Got the bolt on cutting edge and teeth(heavyduty looking teeth)individual bolt on.The bucket is a low profile, which i didn't realize i would be getting. Not sure if i will like that.Would wether had the highback for what i want to do.
Do they even make highbacked ones?
My helpers think we need to paint over the Bobcat for some reason? It does need a little paint touch up tho i will say.Doesn't look like they used any too much paint to start with:rolleyes:
With that said the bucket came from dealer in Wilson,NC.Since they wasn't for sure when they would be able to get one built. So it already has a few miles on it:laugh: Looks to have been at the dealer for awhile?
Will have to wait until spring gets here to see how the two get along:laugh::usflag:

Ugh, I hate Bobcat for putting the hoses in the center of the buckets, I have seen everyone's 4-in-1 combo buckets and at least Bobcat puts guarding around the cylinders.
You can easily put a spill guard on the bucket, someone with a Takeuchi has one.
That's the height that they are, same as a regular bucket.

I got a solution, if your Deere doesnt like it, give me your Deere and then find a skid that likes it...

Wilson, NC. huh? Getting close to my neck of the woods. Sould have let me tired it out for ya. See if it could handle the power of a takkie, then we know it would be fine on a deere:laugh: Just messin with you.
Hope it works for what you need it for.

On a different note, what the heck you been running those Deere tracks through? Bubble gum, molasses, and dirt?
I had a BC 873 and a JD 250 at the same time, The BC bucket would move a bit on the plate under digging conditions, might want to watch that since your using A ctl.

Ron the first thing my helpers said was why the hose in the middle?
Junior,it was bad enough having to have a bucket shipped that far, hate to think about a machine:).
Dirtman so how far is Wilson,NC from where you are at ? Dealer down there was White's?????
Jeff that is good old frozen clay dirt mixed with water thaw out which turns into mudDDDDD clay!
I'll get the bucket put on and see how it fits.:usflag:

Getting a machine shipped has to be cheaper than buying a new machine!

Durable mix then at colder temperatures, I'm used to at least a good portion of the mud becoming loose on the track at the apex of the rear angle and then falling off at the lower apex of the front angle. Must be the colder temperatures that makes it so gummy to the track.
Carry on people, my hijack is done.::walking:

The bucket should work.Deere 4 in 1's have the hoses in the middle, but I dont know how you route the hoses with a power QC? I built a spill guard for my deere 4 in 1 bucket and it works good.here is a link to the pics of the spill guardhttp://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=247383

I rented my grapple bucket out to a Deere 250 owner and the hoses came back trashed, they said the hoses were pinching between the loader and bucket, and between the grapple cylinder guarding and their loader frame, that's why Deere runs their hoses from the middle of their attachments.
Bobcat may have started doing that on their bigger buckets, even the 72" combo's still have the side routed hoses.

Its probably a good 45 minute drive from the house. The big bobcat dealer down the street is called Trianlge Equipment.
