You can't honestly compare any type of mini skid to an ASV RC30, it's a different class, ride on with cab and tracks to a walk behind/stand on wheeled/tracked skid/articulated unit is not a fair game.
The ASV will do far less damage than any tracked/wheeled unit simply because of it's tracks and low ground pressure.

i believe this is what th op was asking about. a couple models do have cabs if requested. i can't imagine they would do much damage to turf. being both lightweight and articlutaing. wet conditions that could be a diffrent story. dry conditions i would guess it would do less damage than a tracked machine. i think they are interesting and look forward to a demo when the local dealer gets one.
good luck,

I meant 463 size skid i heard the articulated machine is better on lawns I do lawn prep and general small earth moving work and clean up,I already have a komatsu 714-5 with 4in1 takeuchi tb 016 with hammer and auger drive, I work a lot in city residential sites so access can be limited. The boxer 726dt is an articulated loader 1 metre wide, here in Australia its called an avant 520. I realize you cant be ever-thing to ever-one,the articulated loader looks like a good alrounder .

That thing is tiny! The cab is bigger than the loader itself, that doesnt even look like it would really be useful, might as well just use a little skid..

I thought it was pretty cool. Looks like it would be a little unstable, rather narrow wheel base. It would suck tipping it over on the door side. I could see it being pretty valuable to a landscaper. I would like to see how well it worked in the dirt and what its lift capacity is, especially fully extended.

Yeah, I was just thinking for grading and moving around in small areas, it is definetly cool looking. I think it would be better for like moving dirt from a backyard to the front and loading a truck in the street than a skid steer would because your not wasting as much rubber on the road..

I could see that loader being bent in no time with the wrong operator, and it would be very tippy on any off level surface.

I think it would be gentle on the turf with the correct tires but I think the RC30 would be more productive for digging, working on small slopes, and for finish work. I wonder if they rate the operating capacity like they do on wheel loaders (straight and articulated) and I wonder what it is?

:laugh:Or maybe Constructo... No, he'd hurt himself gettin in that little thing.

I bet it'd be perfect for clearing that road Yellow wants! We should stick it in an envelope and send it to him, with no operator so he has to run it :cool2:
