Has anyone used this for an exisiting installation? Do you recommend it? Is the power washer effective enough to clean to the proper depth in between the pavers?

Getting as much sand out of the joints without disturbing the bedding sand will be key to the success of the poly sand installation. Careful application of a pressure washer and adequate drying time will be important to the poly sand working properly, but it can be done. Now is not the best time of year, due to the sand taking a long time to dry out and the chances of more precipitation, either rain or snow. It is important that the bedding sand be dry and the pavers are also dry or activation of the poly sand can be premature and leave large unseen gaps.

I've done this before, and the results were ok. If I had it to do again I would have taken up the pavers and re-set them.
I can't remember the brand, but I have seen poly sand that is recomended for use in existing work.

Ive completed this task also. power washers work great after a heavy rain fall to get existing poly sand out. let the rainfall break the poly sand down. you dont have to get 100 percent out 50-75 is efficent. good luck
