after reading the prices and quotes you guys get for machines i am shocked at the prices i am getting when i was browsing for new equipment. i know price varies around the country but i mean some of you could get a ztr for the price of my hydro walkbehinds. take a look at these prices. how do they compare with yours?

i agree u need to look elswhere . 8400 for a z100 . ill check
but i think there closer to 5000 around here. if we are talking the same machine ,it has a very light ,homeowner type deck.
i dont need that to worry about . later now ,hope u find better deals elswhere.
ps it just occured to me . the one im talking about has i believe a 17 hp motor.could be mistaken on that.

toro has a homeowner time cutter series with 17hsp engine that is about $4300-4500. there is also a z100 44" with a 17 kawi twin for about $6500 here.

I just got a new exmark 48'' hp metro floating deck w/bagger and sulky 4050.00 15 hp kaw and put 2050.00 down and 9.9% for 36mths for 80.00 mth i didnt think this was bad after doing some pricing myself around here in northeast ohio....... i say keep shopping my friend maybe in another state i bought mine in PA and live in ohio ........:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

dlandscaping , Prices seem to be a little better here on the cape.23kawi52" exmark or toro about 7500 , maybe a tad less.
awm, the toro z100 17kawi44" has different bearings than any of the other z100 series . The deck its self is the same .

Toro Z100 44" 17hp is 6000 and the 52" 19hp is 6500 both are kawi's.

I kinda made a statement a week ago to the regional distributor. Basically I told him that the prices on machines were increasing yearly, but the prices of the end users (us) are not rising at the same pace. He looked me in the eye and said "we've never thought about that."

With people driving prices down, and cost of machines going up, eventually the manufacterers will get it. Just hope we can all be around when they finally do.

I priced a scag belt wb last year ( 17 kawi 48" advantage) at $2900.00
when I checked 2 weeks ago on the same mower the price was now $3900.00. I couldn't believe scag went up $1000.00 in 1 year. I know I should
buy local but I may make a road trip to the closest Lesco. Same machine list
for $2500.00
