Im in the process of looking for a new shop. i have found 2 places that will work. both places are within 100 sqf of each other. first place is on a side road. second place is on a main road that gets about 50,000 cars a day past it. the second place is about 300 more per month than the first place. Do you guys think it would be worth the extra money to be on a main road for the extra visablity? I will have a sign at either place. One good account would offset the additional charge. Im just wondering if the results would be there or not.

All I can say is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Its a no brainer for me, I'd take the visibility as long as you can post a large sign. Also to think about is the size of properties and make sure you have enough space for growth of your company. Good Luck

Main Street is always a better way to "advertise" your capabilities with your own grounds maintenance. Also as Pasto said, a nice stone sign with night lighting would be a plus too.

Don't forget the security system! Maybe even the new kid on the block EYES THERE system.

I would go for it if you can afford it. If that $300 will hurt the pocket that badly then go for the cheaper place until you can afford it. But I really think all the visibility would more than cover the extra $300.

How much a month would it cost you to mail out 50,000 flyers once a week to get the same branding affect?

No brainer IMO. Good luck!

Who knows what the results would be. I'm sure you could get the same results by renting a billboard somewhere that has traffic passing by.

But name recognition is name recognition.

I'd go for the cheaper one.

Is that extra $300 going to hurt you? If not than yeh the main street is a no bainer! You will probably get quite a bit of work off that location rather than the other.

Yo do realize that renting a billboard is 3-4 times more expensive than the difference of renting the more expensive property right?

You will get best advertising ROI by renting the better property. My .03

Depends on where the billboard is, and how large it is. I'm sure it varies tremendously.

the guy that owns that second location called me this morning and offered a new price. he lowered it by 300. i guess that made up my mind for me. he said he just wants to get someone in there as it has sat empty for 2 years now.
