I like the straight shaft edgers myself. Also just got rid of this edger today!

I think that the 2400 engine was the best Echo built. I loved the 2400 string trimmers.

they are nice, especially the light weight trimmers. The tank is that color due to the years of use and the fact that UV down here will affect most plastics fast. I use stihl and had no use for it. A friend of mine needed a curved shaft edger so I gave it to him.
