48" or larger?

I have a new trailer with a 50" gate on the side. We are in the market for a walk-behind. Is it worth getting only a 48" that will fit through the gate, or will it be a mistake and we should get something larger like a 52" or 54". Our other mowers are a 52"ZTR and 60" 3-wheel. Thank you for your input.

i guess it would depend on the specific needs at the properties you maintain.

the 48" sounds like a good choice to me since you currently have a 52", and 60".

if u have all big properties or rather open properties then go with the bigger, however already having to big mowers, why not get a 36'' for the small areas?

Sorta defeats the purpose of a side gate if you cannot unload a mower doesn't it? I know you can use it to run a wheel barrow or something up it, but otherwise it will more than likely be in the way, of say, reaching in the trailer for something. I guess I don't know your intended purpose of the gate though. :)
