With my Mitsi, 2007 was 13.5 for the year, 2008 was 12.8 for the year. When I plow, it runs for the entire storm while I'm out, 12 to 20 hours at a pop.

92 Dodge Cummins 250 4x4: 16 - 17 in mixed 60 city/40 hwy driving & 19 - 20 all hwy at 70. I can do about 21 all hwy in anything at 65 or below.

06 Dodge Cummins 3500 4x4: 15 - 16 in mixed 60 city/40 hwy driving & 16 - 17 all hwy at 70 or below. Could be a lot better, but I have 4.10's.

Highway mileage varys so dam much...another reason i hate it. My best on the highway was 19.6 at 70-75 mph.

07 f 350 Crew cab long bed 3:73 6.0 14-18.5 hwy or towing the boat 13-14

work trucks:
02 550s with 7.3 and 4:88s 7.5 towing 8500#s empty 8-9 mpg
02 350 crew 7.3 3:73s 11.11.5 towing 8500#s empty 13- 13.9
08 450 extra cab V-10 4:88 7.2 towing 8500 #s empty 8-9 mpg
None of the work trucks get hwy miles as we work in such a tight area. It seems like the new winter blend diesel really brings down the mpg. Looking to add some more smaller trucks as the cab n chassis are expensive to run for maintenance.

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4x4 that gets 14.5 around town, and 18 on the highway. I have been trying to figure out why it doesn't get into the 20's on the highway and at least 16-18 around town. It beats me why it doesn't.

And it could be because Murphy isn't exactlly in flatland area either. Murphy to Robbinsville is a nice grade.

'00 Nissan Frontier 2.4 4cyl - 21-22mpg combined city/hwy ~ and it doesn't matter if the bed is loaded or not, or whether the bed-shell is on or not. My mileage does dip to 18-19mpg in the Winter - but that's nearly all city driving.

I was surprised to find that when I run ethanol-free gas (8 tanks-worth straight) that my mileage figures were unchanged. Anyone else tried this...and what were your results?

To be perfectly honest.....I dont have a clue. But if I did have to guess I would say 4:10's in the 3500 and the 550's.

Why do you ask?

If it helps to figure it out only the 550's have the tow haul mode?

Our bodies have the wheel barrel rack/cab protector over the cabs, I think they really catch the air and pulls the mpg down. Its rare for our trucks to do any hwy miles and if they do its only for a few miles. I have never heard of a 550 getting that good of milage.

How fast do you run down the highway? Auto or manual trans? Usually the 550's with have a 4.88 or maybe a rare one will have a 4.30 rear. Also what kinda bodies are on these 550's?

My 2003 F-450 6.0 6spd 2wd gets 12mpg loaded or empty doesn't matter it may drop down to 11mpg but otherwise never gets any higher. It is all highway driving. The truck has 4:30 gears and they are too d*mn tall for the hills here. Very rare can I use 6th gear with the truck at max gvw. I can use it empty but its lots of shifting from 6th to 5th and back again.

My brothers 94 Dodge Cummins 2500 4x4 reg cab at best gets 15mpg I wasn't really impressed when I started checking the mileage. Still better than a gas truck that gets 8-10 mpg.

2001 Chevy Ext cab, dually, 8.1/Allison, 4.10 rear locker. ~10 in the city and 12 on the highway, empty or grossing 15K+. Does better at 70 in the hills than at 60 or 65 MPH.

My customer has a 97 F250 7.3 PSD that hauls his GIANT in-bed over the cab camper - overall weighing in at 9,900lbs loaded. He's getting 12-13mpg - nearly all hwy.
