Just curious on your opinion. I have gotten many different answers. Since preemergents are not contact products. How much carrier(water) are you guys putting out per 1000k or per acre. Does it really matter as long as you are appying the correct amount of actual preemergent ingredient? Been told you want to put enough water to get the product to the ground.

I apply 1.25-1.50 gallons/1000 or 54 to 64 gallons per acre. I have found that when I use dye early in the year I apply the heavier volume and after I stop using my dye I spray at the lower rate. I think I can visually see how my coverage is and slow down a bit. When I have no dye and you can't see what your coverage is really doing I tend to speed up a bit and stay that way for the rest of the season. I use this for everything from pre-m to melted urea. Work's for me!

I run at 1.6g/M, but here everyone has a sprinkler system to get it watered in.

I use Gallery and run 2-2.5 gal/K and water in every application immediately. SC is so hot with sandy soil that about 120 days of control is about the most that one application will last. So in summer a second round of Gallery towards end of May is needed and yet another round in August.
