I am in the beginning stages of start my lawn care business. I will be mowing part time as I currently have a full time job. My goal is that within 2 years I will be able to quit my job and mow and maintain lawn for a living. I live in Ohio so I would eventually plow snow in the winter also. So the question is I NEED A NAME!!!

Any ideas??? Have searched and the only one that I found that I really like was "No Short Cuts Lawn Care" but that is already taken.

I am currently a Pepsi salesman, but I don't want to include that in anyway. If your asking what I like to do in my spare time, I like going to car show, boating and just being outside in general. I have a 10 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. My wife would be helping with the landscape trimming. I don't think that I want to get involved in new landscaping right away, just maintaining it to start with. Suggestions from family are: "Curb Appeal LC"," Picket Fences LC","Turn A New Leaf LC", and "The Grass is Greener."

Just my opinion...I like your name here Lawns or Landscaping unless your last name is Smith or something common that is probably taken. Hope this helps a little.

Hoags Lawn care and Landscaping just does not jump out at me. My first name is Nathan. My dad seems to think that I should call it "N8's Mower and Blow Lawn care." My friends said that it sounds like a porn star turned gardener.

I agree with you that those names don't really jump at me. I kind of like what Yardbarber said: I like Defiance Lawn Care.

Suggestions from family are: "Curb Appeal LC"," Picket Fences LC","Turn A New Leaf LC", and "The Grass is Greener."

One of the local lco's here used to be named The Other Side Lawn Care........."where the grass is always greener" (slogan)

The partnership has split and I believe they are changing names.

Just trying to help.

All I can say is be original, and don't use names that may describe your prices, for example "Affordable Lawn Care" all your going to get are people looking for cheap prices, find a name that describes Quality, Professionalism, Higher Standards, etc., those will bring you the customers you want.

My name stems back from my Grandfathers Business 20 years ago, New City Automotive.

So find a name with some meaning or something along those lines.

As long as that name isn't being used, your in Ohio so check with your secretary of state, that is where you can check name availability and where you would register your name:
