As a new company in the southeast and mid Michigan area, how does one go about getting contractor pricing from the various nurseries and landscaping supply places around town?

usually by showing a business card or tax id number .Or just go in and talk to them and tell them what you are doing.

Either go in or call them. Use the internet and email them. Right now a lot sales people won't leave you alone even after you tell them you're not interested.

First, you need a Nurserymans License. I don't know of any Nursery/Landscape Supply that give wholesale pricing without one.

The Dept of Ag requires you to have one if you are in the business of planting nursery stock for profit.
