View Full Version : 20' Landscape trailer side ramp

01-20-2009, 07:48 PM
I have a trailer I am selling that is great for lawn care or landscaping as it is very versatile in its uses. It is 20' long with a 2' dovetail and is 81" inside useable width and has a 60" wide side ramp gate to access the front of trailer. It has tandem 3500# axles and will handle large loads with ease. It has a treated wood deck and has the heavy duty Bull Dog jack and couple setup. It has brakes on axles and tires are in good shape and comes with an extra set of wheels and tires too. I am asking $2200 for this trailer as it is well worth every penny.

what is that implement that you have on the back of the tractor? i am imagining it is a seeder, but have not seen one with the tubes and such on it.

Where in KY are you?

I am in Bowling Green, KY.

01-21-2009, 05:55 PM
The implement on back of tractor is a Land Pride seeder. If you have not seen one, they are the best out there. Each tube feeds a disc which is run off PTO and then rolled in with rear roller. It is a 1 pass setup and lawns look like sod when they come in. It has paid for itself many times over in my first year using it.

Here is pics of the trailer hookup as asked for and pics of the tires. The tires have 80% tread if not more on them and there are 4 spare wheels/tires to go with it. The tires and wheels on the trailer are heavy duty 8 ply trailer tires.

I don't see any plates/ does it have a VIN # and/or paperwork to be able to get plates (trailor plates). Why are you selling? I'm in Louisville and interested.

01-21-2009, 08:50 PM
It does not have plates as in Bowling Green we are not required to have plates on open trailers. I think I still have papers where I bought it and if not I bought it from Middle Tennessee trailers and can call them for any info you might need. I am the sole owner of trailer and you will have no problems getting it licensed.

01-21-2009, 08:52 PM
Only reason I am selling is I bought a 30' gooseneck to carry larger equipment in place of this one and I also have other open trailers to use. Nothing wrong with it besides 1 too many trailers.

Do the tool racks come with it

01-22-2009, 12:19 AM
Dam that thing is long, can't image maneuvering that thing around.

01-22-2009, 11:10 AM
Tool racks could be negotiated. As far as length goes, this is pretty standard to carry mowers or other equipment and is very simple drive around. If you want a long trailer, you should see our 30' equipment trailer.

Nice trailer, i envy you as you are in Corvette country. Beautiful part of the state and even prettier cars on the road.

Better check with the state about the plates. If you are a commercial company or a business - you have to have plates. If you are a home owner with an open trailer 9just using it for YOUR home or farm) you don't. Those Vehicle Enforcement boys are out there beware - they need money - budgets are cut!

Wish you were closer to North Dakota. I would buy it today.

01-22-2009, 06:13 PM
Would you be interested in a Hot water pressure washer for trade?

01-22-2009, 06:57 PM
Sorry no trades. I have spoken with DOT and our licensing division about plates on our trailers. As long as we are not taking them on the Hghways, we are fine with no plates. I have been in business for 11 years and never had a problem with DOT or anyother law enforcement with my trailers. Knock on wood. Nobody around here has plates on open trailers.

Interstates or Hwy 31 - I would thinkit is sort of hard to avoid them. that is where i learned about the law up on an interstate highway. they got nothing better to do than tax us to death - but the home owner they can do anything - no laws. Does not make sense. Same with chemicals you can spray agent orange on your own lawn and they would throw you in jail for putting down some 10-10-10 on your neighbors. Well I got the license and plates.

How much do you want for it?

01-26-2009, 09:47 AM
$2200 is what I put in posting

02-02-2009, 07:47 PM
I will give you $1800 for it. I also need a trailer title for it so i can get plates in Missouri.

02-02-2009, 10:07 PM
I can do $2000 but that is as low as I am willing to go. If not I will hang on to it til Spring and sell it locally no problem.

02-02-2009, 10:09 PM
Getting the title will be no problem. I am sure I have it filed somewhere but if not I can get you a duplicate as I have bought several trailers from the company I ordered it from.

I have title for trailer in hand and it shows axles are 2500 not 3500 as I thought which doesnt really matter if you are using for lawn care equipment. As you can see it holds a large tractor and powerseeder with no problems and also holds a small bobcat with no problems. Really a great trailer with no issues and ready to keep on working for many years to come.
