Call us when you get your de-coder ring.
It could be a while; Boots was banned from the lapidary shop when they caught him outsourcing the rings.

Yo, It'll make you more money, I had to make that decision a number of times and never regretted it; after I paid it off, of course.

True. Been thru 2 DW 400sx. Bought used. Spent thousands on fixing all the breaks. New 410 or 420? Thats alot of pgps to install.

I think most of us get to a point where we're sick and tired of wrenching; I did.

Heres what I need for the b 30 , its actually a b30 b but they are basicly the same. I need a lift cylinder for the shaker box, I need a shaker box .

My mechanic had problems with the state and had to clean up the lot , a customer left the machine to get repaired 3 years ago , it ran , but he robbed a few parts along the way . I got the b30 b and a cut up b30 for free . i figure I will set it in the corner of the shop and put it back toghether in my spare time . If not ot will be a wealth of spare parts for my other machine

I salute you for resurrecting one.
I will never sell my B30, let alone scrap it!
I would like to adjust the valves at some point, though. Anyone have any tips on that?

The intake/exhaust valves in the Hatz diesel. Was told by a mechanic buddy it will pick up power and make less smoke if I adjust them.

Not too sure of this brand of diesel, but I know lots about diesels; it's generally the injectors that cause the smoke. Having the valves adjusted is
certainly a good idea, though.

I will check tomorrow morning on the status of those two items. If they are worth anything you can have them for free. Also have an old 400 sx that has alot of good used parts. Let me know if you want pictures sent.

Hope all is well. The lift cylinder should be ok. Are you looking for just the shaker box, or the whole trolly. The trolly was cut but the shaker box can be unbolted and salvaged.

I am in need of the rear end to a B30, serial # 716 - built in '84. Dana/Spicer does not make the ring & pinion or "spider gears" anymore. I have owned this one since '94. I parked my first one, a DP30 - serial #025 - built in '69, after it started smoking on hillsides. Bought the newer one and realized a loss of power in 2006. Took it to the mechanic and he said $5,000.00 to rebuild it. I said " I have another engine on # 025, will it fit?" He looked it over and said "yeah". Two days later I'm up and running and get on a hillside and remember why I parked it....... rolling smoke! I take it back to the mech, he takes the top off and all the problem was a head gasket. $100 and four years later a popping and loss of pull from the rear end (end under the fuel compartment) has me trying to replace the chunk but ran into a dead end yesterday with discovery of no new parts avail. I've been plowing in the Nashville, Tn market for over 20 + years and have not seen any other equipment stand up to the daily use like the Burkeen. I suppose I'll find a junker or buy an used one..... Craig

I hope I don't get these mixed up ;) but I will attempt to put some photos of the old rear end while I was trying to show one distributor the difference in the B30 and the B30B. Its the rear end on the right. The other is the B30B

Also, md mentioned that I probably want to just get the entire assembly because of timing.
