Depends on what phone your using....I can create a group list with my palm treo

I use the iPhone I don't think it has any apps for that but maybe a pc program could send mass text messages?

Use Outlook for the mass email messages and create a GROUP Listing on your BlackBerry or cell and send the text messages. I'm not a fan of mass text messages but rely on emails everyday.

Don't need a app. Just start a new text message, enter a number, and then hit the + symbol and more numbers. Don't delete the conversation and you can send them out as much as you want.

Why would you want to send text messages to somebody's phone? I've heard so many people say "don't send anything to me because I don't want to pay for your text messages that come to my phone, when I didn't want them."

You may traffic in circles with people who use text message frequently, are on unlimited plans, etc. But, this is not the case with some people, and any intent of regularly sending text messages should be cleared before starting the procedure.

I am one of those who would be irate if I started getting text messages. You would be told to "cease and desist" immediately of such practices.

Having said that, I know such software must exist. I know somebody who is a traveling medical specialist -- getting assignments through the course of the day. The new assignments are distributed by text messages, and they originate off a PC (know the place of origin for sure). But, I can't help with the name of such a software. In this application, the procedure works well.

just use your e-mail, make customer contact list, make message send it to all, no special stuff needed,
