Is the site tracking IP's of posters?

We don't use them for anything... except when we have a problem member that refuses to follow guidelines. We can use the IP to block him entirely .... Or, if need be, I can trace the IP # back to the persons ISP and find their identity. This would only be done for legal purposes... example, someone threatens anothers life, posts child porn, etc., etc.,
