I for one consider you folks to be great Americans (yes... this includes our friends in Canada - part of North America). All of you work hard as businessmen and dedicated employees. I read and see what you build and create.

From my prospective all of you work hard and make things happen. I salute each and everyone of you, and I thank God we have so many people that are willing to make positive things happen.

I wish and hope each of you will prosper in these hard times

John

Dusty, Dirtman, Cat, Bob cat and all others;

I really enjoy reading and learning from this thread and the overall site.

There are many experienced businessmen and positively motivated people here that I felt compelled to make a comment. These are definitely tough time for many people across the continent. You folks keep a pretty cool head and I can't help but wonder what things would be like, if a handful of you guys ran for political office and set policies.

We need more hard-working pragmatic people in government.

It's refreshing to hear someone talk kindly of those who work in the dirt. Your words are appreciated, take care and best of luck!

I will finally be old enough to run in 2012, I will need your vote.:usflag:

It is fun to read about equipment here. I think we can get through this and we will all learn some stuff. If not remember this, the Dyson vacuum guy built over 5,000 prototypes before he made it to the market.

the world needs ditch diggers too! I personally haven't run across much of that but there are always people who think they are better than anyone. Just ignore them or kill them with kindness or an educated response to a question.

Exactly, it just upsets me like this industry is a job for idiots and people that cant do better and they look down on us for doing it like its not a respectful trade.. It just upsets me when people really love doing this..

Jr, you have alot to learn. Alot of people think of us construction workers as 2nd class citizens. Little do they know that you make just as much money if not more than most of them and you don't have to buy all those fancy clothes they do :) Try working in an office building downtown doing demo or something and they won't even let you use the same bathroom you have to go outside and use the porta john. Kinda sucks but thats what you have to look forward to. Just keep your head up and take it for what its worth

Ah yes, the folks that think the roads that they drive on just appeared and that it didn't actually take a large effort from a lot of people to construct. Most people don't understand that.

What's funny is that I do the same thing Ron does.

If someone blocks me in and I can reach it I'll take a piss on their door handle.

Moral of the story: Don't block my truck in. You won't be very happy.

You don't even wanna know what happens to convertibles. :cool2:

Government is toxic to practical/sensible people. In fact, the system is pretty much designed so that: if you're not corrupt, you'll never get elected.

If it's got a 12" lift it's a little difficult to get your stream to defy gravity long enough to get to their door handle.
