I got a four door toyota tacoma that I am going to wrap here pretty soon. We do mowing, landscaping, lighting, and irrigation. I mainly wanna focus on irrigation. Just wanted to see what ideas and suggestions are out there as far as design. Has anyone seen a wrap done focused on irrigation? My designer has everything looking good but I feel like something is missing. Just want to see what ideas and pics may be out there before I drop the money on it.....

When I see wraps, I like text at odd angles, not straight back on the truck or horizontal. Keep it easyish to read. No examples from me, just opinion.

Do send pics when you get it done.

joallen001,

Vehicle wraps are GREAT advertising!
Iím not sure which brings in more leads, our web site or our wrapped mini.

Things To Keep In Mind:

1. Canít see through the perforated window wrap material when itís wet. (Iím still not comfortable driving with side mirrors and NO rear view).

2. NO more drive through car washes. Must hand wash!

3. Canít scrape ice and snow off windows.
But that probably wonít be a problem for you in TN.

Iím a commercial photographer. My husband is an irrigation contractor. We wrapped my mini cooper windows & sun roof last Spring with a © waterdrop photo i own. I worked the company logo, .com address, phone, into the racing stripes. Design was free, did it myself. Installation, materials & labor cost about $2000. The investment was quickly recovered with the first job sold from seeing the mini.

My advice to you, wraps are all about ďbrand imagingĒ.
If you have a logo, use a certain font in letterhead or web site, work them into your design. And donít use stock images. If youíre going to invest the $, you donít want photos on your vehicle that your competitors are using too.

Good Luck!

But you have to put their logo on the vehicle.

I don't know. But i do know perforated window wrap is MUCH more expensive than the solid wrap. In the Spring i can tell you how much it will cost to wrap our new box truck... ughh, gotta wait for the start-up cash flow.

joallen001,
One more suggestion. As we went through the design phase i took photos of the mini and photoshoped the design elements into the pictures. 20+ designs later (my husband & I) eventually agreed on the same one. I gave our graphics guy the sample go-by pixs and was very happy that the end result was almost exactly the same.

Maybe your designer can do the same for you.
Good Luck!

It's funny, on all 4 of our trucks we just have our company name and some water sign. People who don't know us think we are a pool service. I always ask my boss why can't we get some detail info on the trucks and he just says no... but after 8 years we are 5000 strong with 3500 active or so... so we must be doing something right.

GREAT Design! The logo will be a quick and easy read as you speed down the road.

I recognize the stock sprinkler image, but do not recognize the grass image.

A couple of suggestions before you wrap it:

1. First glance, i wondered what was ď 93/ Ē ? is it meant to read as 931 ?

2. Advertise your Web Site Address... Not your Gmail! And always use a domain email address. Freebies are typically perceived as unprofessional.

3. I hope 2500.00 includes something on the tailgate and hood.

4. Yikes... ďGreenScapesĒ is a registered © and ô of The U.S. EPA.
I donít mean to be a PITA... just want to let you know.
Iíve personally dealt with The EPA, and believe me they are a Knit-Picky PITA when it comes to their rights.

5. Nice Rims! Had same on our last Dodge.

Good Luck! Hope U Post a pix when complete.

I think we're finally going to put signage on the vehicles this year. Hopefully subtle. May not even put the phone number on it. Just make it apparent who is pulling up in front of the house.

I was also confused by the 93/ or 931 on the phone number.

Agreed... If the logo was smaller, you could put the telephone numbers below it, probably in a single row. I would think that if you could leave the front fender with just the grass background and without anything else on it, it would look cleaner and less "busy". It does look nice, and certainly would draw attention. Next best thing to having Miss August posted on the side, eh?

It should be done by now I would think. Maybe she forgot to post up the finished pics? I thought the design too busy too and didn't care for where the phone numbers are located. I once apologized for the disorganized look of my truck to a client. I never felt the need to do it again. Their reply was "A truck that's spotlessly clean, and organized makes us nervous, your truck shows us you stay busy and work hard."
