View Full Version : How much does your trailer weigh?

Have you weighed your empty trailer?

What type is it? How many axles?

If you have, I'd love to get a range of empty trailer weights by size (both open and enclosed).

I just weighed mine, which I built (stoutly) about 10 years ago.

5x10, open, 3' high sides, double axles (springs): right at 1300 pounds empty except for odds and ends in the tongue tool box.

7'x14' enclosed tandem 3500lb axles. Empty it weighs 2300. With my Z and stander plus all my 2cycle stuff weighs in around 4400 give or take. Don't know how much weight is on the tongue, but not much I can pick it off the ground a few inches.

Open 6x12 single axle 2 foot high steel sides,
hard to say for sure but I like to say 1500 empty.
3-4 thousand comfortably, but she'll do 5 just not more.
