Thank you.......took the words out of my mouth. Ford sells more pickups than the preferred GM brands, BC sells more skid steers and CAT sells more T-shirts than anyone else and I don't buy those POS either.

I would like to see a breakdown of that 250,000. How many would be 1845's?

It would be interesting to see more sales numbers from the skid market.

If Ford sells more trucks, how would GM be "preferred?" It would seem to indicate that more people "prefer" the Ford. Maybe I misunderstood your use of the word.

Where can you find the complete breakdown of sales in regards to manufactures and drive system(CTL/MTL or wheeled)?

I think I heard that the overall skid steer market in the U.S. was only going to be around 40,000 units this year.

I'm still waiting to get final market share numbers from my contact at Bobcat but he did give me this order:

Bobcat
CAT
NH
JD
Case

Tigerotor77...I was wrong Case and JD switched. My contact actually said that NH had a strong year and took some marketshare from CAT.

Surprised that JD and Case switched, with the S3 machines I would have thought Case would gain although in this area I haven't yet seen a S3 out on a job site yet.

I think because of the larger dealer network is the reason.

You can't, really... the quotes for market share are usually sourced from AEM -- which is an information database [usually] only the manufacturers have access to.

Tigerotor77...I was wrong Case and JD switched. My contact actually said that NH had a strong year and took some marketshare from CAT.

NH might have had a strong year overall... I wouldn't be surprised. I think NH is seeing some loss of market share due to the Deere presence (ag vs. ag), but if it's at the expense of Cat, I'd presume that CTLs and perhaps some of the smaller skids (L175) are the reasons.

Yea your right.

Just as an aside, I bought a 50T tag trailer off IP from a guy from your home town. He looked to be a logging guy. Small world.
