Hours on Lawn Boy 2 stroke engine?

Does anyone know how many hours the 2 stroke engine (6.5 Duraforce) on the Lawn Boy mowers will last?

We've been using "lawnboy's" since '60. Dad's first machine lasted him 7 years before the compression went.

Now a days, I go through transmissions before engines. I had engines last only a year, had engines that last 5 years. I would say it's safe to say the the average is 3 years.

Now, that's using the machine about 4 hrs use in a 8 hr day,5.5 days a week, 52 weeks a cutting season.

Now a days, the bent blade shaft is what kills the engine.
