View Full Version : Need some ramp advice for my new trailer

Tried searching for something, with little luck so I"ll ask.

I have my new landscape trailer, and the triailer is high enough (not too high, but what is generally needed), but the back fold down gate causes too much of an angle to get the mowers on/off without dragging badly.

I've got some short term solutions, but really wanted some opinions here. Seems as though this is one item that I certainly overlooked. I can probably build something that provides some better clearance, but I'm really thinking I now have to buy some type of ramp to get the mowers on and off easily.

Thanks.

try raising the height on the hitch for the truck with a different drop down say frrom 1 inch to a 2 inch and then turn it over so it goes up instead of down this will lower the back of your trailer. Otherwise get a longer gate most come standard with a 4 foot gate try a 5 foot gate instead. Hope this helps!!

Interesting thoughts! I'm also going to contact the service mgr. where I bought my trailer, to see what they 'might' be able to do for me.
