I have always wanted stihl to make a mower. i would even be willing to pay more for it. what would you guys want in a mower that no one else has. Examples: comfort feature, radio, built in gps tracking, noise reduction, diesel walk behind?, automatic steering, hand warmers for in the fall, superior cut quality and standard striping kit, drink holder, anything else?

Tires that unload all the dog crap right in front of the customers front door. And a gas tank that magicly regenerate gasoline, so I never need to refill it.

Stihl makes outstanding equipment, however to think that they can just jump into something like building a mower like other companies have been doing for decades and compete with them, is a longshot. I've seen this happen before, most notably when JD went from farm equipment to golf course equipment. It was a total failure on JD's part. JD needs to stick to farm/industrial and Stihl needs to stick to handheld equipment.

I'd have to agree. Stihl knows how to build handhelds and do it very well. This is their niche and they should stay focused on providing quality handhelds, as venturing out into new markets often hurts quality of service and products of companies.

I would just like for them to concentrate on improving their 4 mix technology.

Ya i know. i would expect them to work on it for several years befor it would be introduced into the market. This was mainly a fantasy post not for real.

Already said......Stihl needs to stay where they are already good at and improve on that. Dont step into a new league. Now for some wishing..maybe a massage seat for ztr's, or a platform for a hotchick to stand on to rub me down while workn....just a thought :cool2:

Bingo.......maybe they can put it on this new mower. Wonder if they are putting the 4-mix on their saws?

I think I will stick with Wright, I think that Stihl should stick with handheld products. Gotta sell what you know.

The old saws had two valves.. the new stihl saws (361 and 441) have six. Eventually all the saws will have six...

Surely they aren't going to have 6 valves on them? Maybe reeds?
