This truck started life as a 78 1/2 ton 2wd. It's currently resting on an 81 3/4 ton 4wd drive chassis. My Dad has owned it for 21 years come this spring and, it was his daily driver/work truck for a good many of those years. Being a daily driver meant that went it broke down it got fixed and not necessarily in the best way which has lead us to rebuild the truck many times. (multiple motor and cab swaps among other things) Three years ago I started collecting parts to properly re-do the truck. Two summers ago we tore the entire nose off, changed the motor and painted the frame. Last summer we changed the cab and painted the rest of the frame then undercoated everything before bringing the truck to the shop Dad works at and finally painting it. This summer I plan to paint the frame again then hopefully use fluid film on it all.

The truck has been compared to the car from Johnny Cash's song one piece at a time. Here's the list from the current make up of the truck...

Plow frame- Fisher push plates and push beam, Diamond head gear, Western isarmatic mark III pump

I am keeping the 85 cab its better then the 79, but putting 79 motor and trans fenders hood etc. think it will be much of a hassle putting in my 79 tilt column and cruise control

FYI, that chrome air cleaner will frost up in the winter. UNLESS it has a dapper, i think thats what its called, i had the same problem w/ my 89, and 99.
