Selecting the pictures link takes way to long.
Most people will be turned off or give up and move on.
It looks like the file size is just to large.
Possible you may want to break it up into some catagories so each file size is smaller.

Let's start with the very important issues and work from there:

First, make sure your entire layout does not exceed 1000 pixels. No one wants to scroll from left to right and it will discourage the user from navigating the site.

That background color HAS TO GO! Ouch, it hurts my eyes. Use dark background colors until you are familiar with color palettes. I am not even very good at using light or strong colored backgrounds and it goes wrong quickly.

Make your ICPI image a .gif with a transparent background or make the image background the same color as the layout background. Avoid the "cut & paste" look.

Whatever image WAS hosted here:
http://visit.webhosting.yahoo.com/counter.gif/c?D=000000&B=FFFFFF&l=4&f=12
is not any longer and it is a broken link, get rid of it or make it live again.

Make a slideshow with pics for your header image or pay a graphics designer to do it for you. That's only $80-100 and well worth it. The header image is the first thing that will capture the viewers interest on a new site. You want them to, at least, b interested in reading more.

But most of all, get all your images in the portfolio and everywhere else sized to NEVER take up more than 1000 pix in width.

That image is on the home page. You won't be able to see it because the image is no longer hosted by the third-party service. It is just below and to the left of the header.

The orange is ugly.

The orange isn't all that bad - but shouldn't be the background of your content - make that white. The background of the entire page can still be orange.

Can definitely use a bit of work though - your images are going to sell your work, so they should be made the focal point.

Also - that mailto: link is going to flood you with spam - if Yahoo allows you, put a contact form with a CAPTCHA image (where you have to type in the squiggly letters or numbers) in order to have people send you a message.
