Besides the old Lesco spreader now Cub Cadet, is there another good brand of spreaders? How about Earthway? I see Lesco is now selling them.

We've run Spyker 288's for two years now, and we won't use any other. They weigh more & they're costly, but they spread farther, are built to last, virtually never break down, no pins that rust out, never streak or clog, have a really nice deflector shield, and you can get jobs done faster.
If you buy one, make sure to get the "Border Patrol" (deflector shield) and a "hopper cover". We bought some from this company in N.C. http://rayssupplycompany.

we use the lesco by default almost. we go tthem cheap, but i personally use scotts accupro 2000 and it is way easier to push and better imo. have never broken a pin on the whell that the lesco spreaders seem to do about every month or more. i have not used a spyker hand spreader but i think they would be very good as we have them on the zsprays we use and they are great.

LT Rich, TURFCO (and now even Permagreen) use Spyker. IMO there are good reasons for doing so.

just got a good look at the prizelawn bigfoot spreader,
i think this will be the next walk behind spreader i purchase.
it is well built has left and right pattern adjustments as well as
the tapered sliding bar or what ever u wanna call it(similar to that on the
spyker hopper). remote operated deflector and left hole shut off.
