Now this may have been covered at some point but I don't know. I have heard of AMSOIL some and starting to here it more on Lawnsite. So my question is simple "What is it"?

Its a name brand oil...I've tried to reach the rep that is on here to find out more about it to and have never heard back from him.

they are a high perf synthetic oil probably the original most certainly the best

100% full synthetic oil. The premium oils are made with PAO basestocks---the best there is out there. Most "synthetics" from other companies are made from GroupII or GroupIII and still contain parrifin (wax). Amsoil has a very robust additive package that enables it to go for extended drain intervals when used with the full synthetic media filters also.
