can u hook up a direct propane line?

Well these are made to run off 100lb cylinders or greater. Hard plumbing is accepted, so a direct line I assume would work perfectly.

For smell vise, In a shop garage its not much of anything, but I dont know what unit you had that created a smell. this has a pilot light that ignightes three sections of propance pores that creates a infared heat mass circulated by a fan. It is effective and ideal for your propane supply, however I do not think the smell would be effective as long as you dont run the line with no flame.
