I thought you would like to some shots from an episode I just did.

I made an area light from a 2 3/8 fence post and a spaghetti strainer as a homeowner DIY project. It has an FX bullet light in the post pointed straight up, the bolt you see in the post stops the light from going down the pipe. I made a harp to mount strainer out of a ring and strap. There is no glare because the light is shining up and reflecting on the stainless steel. I put some of the recycled glass on top to match it to the rest of the job.

I used LED rope light from IlluminFX under the lip of the bench and table.

The picture of the camera man and sound guy shows you how bright it has to be to film. They use several 5600k floods with shutters to mimic daytime. It was actually well after sunset when I took the shot but you can't tell. They turned down the lights a little before the shoot the lighting I do. I am not sure what kind of sound the light makes, that part cracks me up.

Tommy,
When you were describing this to me about a week or so ago I admit I had a hard time visualizing the end result. I get it now! Very creative. I like the benches and table also.
What are you going to borrow from the kitchen next? :)

Did you have any/much trimming around those trees to cover those trunks so well?

We installed these hugh dodeneas that were 10 ft tall in the can and very full. The trunks were bare when we started.

Pretty darn creative Tommy.... of course you had UL there to approve the fixture before you powered it up right? :) (you, of all people, know I am kidding)
