I use my personal truck for my lawn business and it's the only truck we currently have. I work another fulltime job but the man who works with me does not have another job. When I can't be there with him he drives my truck and that's the question. How do you handle this? I know if I lend my truck to a friend and he wrecks it it would be covered. However if I am allowing someone to drive it everyday for my business and he wrecks it what happens? And what if the other driver has a bad driving record. I have always been nervous about this ,but I don't know how to handle it. So I'm looking for ideas.

Have the driver give you an official copy of his driving record. If it is clean, put him on your policy. Es todo. :)

Yeah you gotta check into that, and I hate to tell you to call your Insco because
they might raise your rates just for asking, but either have his insurance cover it or yours has to,
because if they find out the hard way they'll likely drop you like a rock.
Not trying to scare you but in the case of an accident they could probably refuse to cover you,
and they probably wouldn't, but I think they could.
So the alternative of paying more insurance is far worse here, I would get with the Insco.
Might as well start with what was already suggested, have your driver get a copy of his record.

you need a commercial policy with him listed as a driver.

Place your truck into a commercial policy. The commercial policy does NOT have to be in your business name. It could be in your personal name, as a business. You then can still lease it to your company. We did that for a number of year when we first started out. Both owners had full-time jobs and we worked on our days off and Saturdays. Once we got big enough everything was then sold into the company.
I would be real careful about lending your truck to someone else with a personal policy. You get into an accident and they can prove you were using for other than personal use they may be able to deny the claim. IMHO, its a risk not worth taking.
