I don't know about your state, but there is nothing like that in Jersey.

Well, what I mean is what is this horticulture license? Is it a pesticide license or is a BS license that the state made up just to charge you money? I don't think you need any kind of license to get G.L. I don't remember if I even had to show them my incorporation papers or not. But like I was getting at in my first reply, I could be wrong because it could vary state to state.

Most insurance agents could care less, go tell them (Not ask) that you need a quote for General Liability Insurance for a Landscaping Business with chemical application. You will get lot's of response back, they could care less if you have a license

No, in Louisiana you do not need a hort. lic. to get GL insurance..all they need is a rundown of your services and how many employees you have and just general info about your business....that's it.

I Just got my General Business Liability Insurance renewed. I am in Alabama and they did not require that I have my license. I have mine through Nationwide because a buddy of mine works there. I am not sure how much GL is by itself, but I have $1M yearly coverage in GL, and my equipment is also covered under my same plan. Because my equipment is covered my policy is $1005 a year. I pay about $87 a month. But its worth it is you need GL to get commercial jobs and also I rest easy knowing my equipment is covered. It doesnt take much for some thug to come cut a lock and steal some equipment, this could have you shut down for weeks or months if you dont have the extra cash to purchase new equipment. I think my equipment coverage is $10,000
