Hey Guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Names Andy from North Carolina.

I just purchased a new 60" Super Z with the 28 HP Kohler EFI. I also got a set of Flex Forks.

I purchased this mower after about 2 months of researching different zero turns on the internet, and test driving mowers at local dealerships.

I felt like the Super Z had the best ride/cut/price/and machine for the money.

I'm psyched about this mower!

I'll be using it primarily for residential use (we built a house last September, and have about 7 acres of new fescue to mow). I might try to pick up a couple of yards in the future for extra money.

I have a few questions for you Hustler veterans...

Also, does anyone have any advice or pointers on the maintenance, upkeep, and operation of this mower, for the first 50 hours or so?

I was looking at some of the options available (ie, the Flex Seat, Deck Jack, Striping Kit, Hydraulic Deck Lift Option, etc), are they really worth the extra money?

Just wanted to get some feedback on what options you guys like, and which ones you could live without.

Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to the Hustler family !
Congrats on the new ride !
You want to check into the Flex Seat option, you will never ride a mower as smooth at the speed the Super Z runs.

I have a 28/60 Efi, 2 30-66, and a 27-60, by far my favorite is the 28 efi. You will like it. We have a roller striper on ours, and it does a nice job.

I personally had the first flex forks and flex seat put on a Super Z in my area. When I say first, I am talking about the first day my dealer got them into his business. The flex seat is more than worth the money to me and let me tell you why I say this. I am almost 60 years old, have two narrowed vertebra in the L-4 region of my back. I mow 15 plus acres a week sometimes more depending on how fast the grass is growing.

I always had a sore back after mowing for several hours because of the 15 mph speed and running on uneven terrain. Once the flex seat was installed, I do not remember having any soreness in my lower back from that point forward. The flex seat has a rocking chair motion which takes all the back slap out from hitting rough spots at high mowing speeds. I can say without doubt and from experience if I were you, I would install the flex seat before I sat down on the mower again.

Thanks for the information. I might have to check into the flex seat option.

You guys running the striping kits, do you have any problems with them tearing the grass up when you turn the mower around at the end the yard, or have you ever had any problems with them lifting the deck up and screwing up the cut on rough terrain?

Just curious.

Thanks!
