its pretty clean.... i aint gonna sell it cheap just to get rid of it, its a good truck but im just trying to run lean and mean and really dont have a use for it.. i seen some in worse shape for 45k idk what they actually sold for though.. is 35k out of reach?

If that would include a box with it, don't think that is unreasonable. Never looked at them to much but know the hooks are spendy(and boxes). I would like to have one but to many other 'needs'.:)

I would say 30 grand but then again you really can't say without looking at pictures. Truck prices right now are pretty low trucks are not worth much. A single axle hooklift will be a hard sell.

Not sure if I would want to buy a tandem axle hooklift I would rather have a conventional hoist. If you are worried about dump angle etc you can go with a retractable tail hoist.

The cost of a 60-65,000lb hooklift system would make a person :dizzy:

well our hydroseeder and a flatbed are all set up for hooks, plus i have an extra container i'd keep thats got a hook, so i kinda wanted to stay in the hooklift family... we dont do much dumping so it doesn't bother me, truck has our hydroseeder, flatbed and containers we use for planting...

Actually I have a pink comment......Pink and Black was a color scheme I was seriously considering for my next truck. I see a tremendous amount of marketing value in that....especially with clean rigs like you have. I think that who ever decided to go with those colors made a smart business choice.........carry on!

That truck would be worth the 35,000 the color thou would make people think twice maybe not where Ron lives

If you go with a tandem hooklift it will have to have a slider hoist to make your shorter bodies work. I have to agree that hydro seeder is really heavy on a single axle.

Here is a PDF file on a slider hoist

I was reading some of the posts prior to seeing the color. When I read pink I wasn't expecting much. However, I have to say that particular color looks good. I can see why others would want to see the color code. Takes balls to paint all your stuff pink. Obviously it works for you. What did the Po, Po have issue with in your photo?

it was a t120 we now have a 2000 gallon bowie.. also have an older reinco for straw mulching/tack.. the gvw on the door is 26k, the guy had it derated so it was under cdl, but i beleive it was 33 or 36k original spec... never had stone/soil in the boxes.. we only had trees and mulch in them, so i can't give you any specifics on the weight..

the mileage is a lil high but not that high, these truck has allllot more life in it..if u were to see the rest of my fleet and the way i maintain everything i bet you this truck is in better shape then most trucks with 100k miles on them.. when i get the smoke test done it actually runs cleaner then new petes right off the showroom.. i also get the oil tested about 2 to 3 times a year and the results are always good.. its got no hitch but the back bumper is pretty big im sure you could put a pintle on it w/ no problem.. it does have air brakes and the fronts were done in the beginning of the fall..

i think the box is like 12/13' foot long.. i also have a 14 or 15' flat bed but im keeping that, i also had an icc bumper put on so you dont have any problems with the dot with the longer bodies... the t120 was gone last year..

That kind of mileage isn't too bad on a C series Cummins if it was a B it would be a different story. Do a service on the Allison and your good to go.

GR you are missing that one. I have had two L-10's. One with 575K the other 880K both on dump trucks. The 880K was a dump truck from the day it rolled off the line in 84. They never miss a beat. 250K is hardly high miles for anyones HD diesel, but especially a Cummins.

i hope im not setting my self up here, but i got 3 - 8.3's and they have treated me very well..

There is a big difference between the 8.3 and L-10. The L-10 is the start of the truck engines the 8.3 is classed as a medium duty. The L-10 is derived from the old 250-290 Cummins they are a small block engine. The L-10 will go the mileage but they are prone to having head problems but that is from excessive use on with a JAKE.

The 8.3 does have cam shaft troubles I know a few people that had some problems with them.

I would rather have a L-10/M11 in a medium duty over a 8.3. Cummins makes the ISL now but you don't see many in the newer medium duty trucks only the ISC.

If you have heavy loads to haul your better off with a tandem axle anyhow it doesn't cost you much more to operate. A single axle truck with a 33-35,000lb gvw your at max capacity what a 2 axle truck can handle.

As for the big Allisons yes they cost allot of money to rebuild I was told a few years ago the older ones in single axle trucks were 15 grand.

If I was going to go with a automatic it would be a Eaton autoselect but I prefer a 13 or 18 spd I like to have the control. Any truck drivers I know really don't like the automatics especially in the hills like we have here.
